"At the beginning, Sougné was considered as a major store. Today, although getting smaller, it preserves its image based on providing useful advice, the after-sale service and the contact with the client."

The owners of Sougné continue to carefully select their products and wants to be able to continue to offer a comprehensive service to their clients. Regarding the tackle but also by provideing information, for example, on best the Belgian and even abroad fishing stretches. In spite of the tough trend of the market, the House of Sougné continues to maintain its reputation.

A reputation which extends far outside the belgian borders since their flies, manufactured by some home-tyers, are exported to neighbouring countries. The House of course offers a great choice of equipment, selected among the greatest flyfishing rods manufacturers (Hardy, Sage, Pezon et Michel, Garbolino, Malevé, Shimano, Berkley, Daiwa, etc.), reels (Hardy, Mitchell, Shimano, Daiwa, Abu, Penn, etc .). Similarly, regarding waterproof clothes, vests, pants, shirts, life-jackets, boots (Eagle, Chameau), Waders etc. While the "Flies of sougné" have contributed to its reputation, beautifully completed by the "Devaux Flies", the flytyer will find what he is after in the old drawers, where during decades, feathers, hair and silks have been displayed. These materials make Sougné a flyfishing specialist, but equally of all gamefishing techniques: Sea fishing, Big Game, surf-casting, pike, carps, course...

Since 1929, numerous fishing memorabilia and images were added year after year, telling a part of  the timeless history of fishing. For example the two magnificent frames, offered by the Colonel Milward, hung to wall of the shop among yellowed photographs of fish, trophies coming from all around the world. A special world.

"If someone comes to buy its first flyfishing tackle, it is our tradition to offer him one hour of free casting tuition, from the platform of our club, the Royal Casting Club of Belgium, on a pond located in Brussels"
